News:  Finding an offline newsreader


Q.  Where can I find an OFFLINE news reader I can use from an ordinary
    dial-in account?

A.  There's a news group whose FAQ might have the answer:

         comp.os.msdos.mail-news

    FAQs, of course, live at

         rtfm.mit.edu

    Use ftp to connect there as "anonymous" and look for the group in the
    usenet-by-hierarchy tree.
