UNIX:  Trouble downloading with sz/zmodem


Some users have reported trouble using sz for downloads; they get
much slower speeds than expected because of CRC errors.  We are
investigating to see why this might have come about, as the problem
seems to have arisen only recently.

In the meantime, some have reported success in working around the
problem by changing (reducing) the transmission window size:

        sz -w 2048 filename
